During this exam, we will look for visible signs of illness or injury while asking you detailed questions about your pet’s relevant history. We will then combine this information with what we glean from our exam to design a treatment plan with you.
We see the following cases that require immediate attention:
URGENT
- Skin & Ear Infections
- Vomiting or Diarrhea (less than 1 day)
- Acute Lameness
- Small Wounds
EMERGENCY
- Vomiting or Diarrhea (more than 1 day)
- Laceration & Wounds
- Difficulty Urinating
- Ingestion of Toxins
- Seizures
- Not Eating Not Drinking
- Lethargy
- Painful Extremities
- Fractures
CRITICAL
- Labored or Rapid Breathing
- Pale or Blue Tinged Gums
- Enlarged Abdomen
- Unable or Unwilling to Stand
- Ongoing Seizures
- Fainting or Collapse
